Construction Laborer

Location: Providence, RI

Pay: $25-$30/hour

Time: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

About the Role

Aerotek is seeking experienced Construction Laborers to support environmental remediation, excavation, utility, and site development projects throughout the Cumberland, RI area. This is a long-term opportunity with a growing environmental construction company offering steady work, career advancement, and a strong safety-focused culture. We are able to get candidates with these skills interviewed and started ASAP. If you don't have an OSHA 40 we will pay to get you trained on it.

What You'll Do

• Perform environmental cleanup and remediation activities
• Assist with excavation, demolition, utility installation, and site preparation
• Operate aerial equipment and work at elevated heights when needed
• Lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing 50+ lbs
• Operate equipment such as street sweepers, rock trucks, rollers, and water trucks
• Work on scaffolding, ladders, staging, and in confined work areas
• Follow OSHA standards and company safety protocols
• Support crews with general labor tasks on active construction sites

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in environmental remediation, utility construction, excavation, or related site work
• Prior environmental cleanup or remediation experience required
• OSHA 10 certification required
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to travel throughout New England as needed
• 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification preferred

Work Environment

Projects may include environmental remediation, demolition, excavation, dredging, utility work, and landfill cap/closure operations. Employees should be prepared to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and spend most of the day on their feet while following all required safety procedures.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Providence, RI.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
